Legendary sognwriter and lyricist
Bernie Taupin opened his ‘Beyond Words’ show at
Hamilton-Selway Fine Art last Friday, September 24th, 2010. Bernie’s paintings were on exhibition and a VIP reception with the artist was held from 5pm – 9pm. The show, which runs through October 2nd, 2010, can be seen at the gallery at 8678 Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood. Bernie’s musical work is really some of the most legendary the world has ever heard. Without hesitation we put him in the same category with Lennon & McCartney. That he’s still prolific both with his writing and now his painting is a testament to his natural talents.
Harvest Productions was honored to work with Bernie on his recent Giclée editions. Seven of his original paintings for the show were captured then proofed for the printing of the editions. One of our favorite pieces, “Evolution of Womanhorse”, can be seen below. The editions, published through
Limelight Agency, are available for sale at the show in editions of 75 along with 9 artist and printer’s proofs.
Our own
Darren Heiserman was on-hand at the VIP reception along with his lovely wife to chat with the publisher and with Bernie about the experience of printing the editions. The work stands on its own, and I’m sure Bernie’s collectors are eager to get a piece of the the art from the show.

Elton John Elton John will perform Nov. 16 at the Asheville Civic Center. If you’re interested, jump on it. Tickets go on sale Monday morning, Oct. 4 through Ticketmaster, and the show surely will sell out.
Our
Lovers’ Loop Retreat, an affordable Asheville vacation rental, is a great place so stay if you’re seeing a show at the civic center or elsewhere in downtown Asheville. We’re an easy 10-minute drive from downtown, and you’ll appreciate the peace at our Asheville bed and breakfast alternative after the excitement of a fun show
Rocket Man comes to Asheville
Elton John last performed in Asheville in 1999, so here’s your opportunity to watch the legendary pianist at a smaller venue without some of the headaches you may encounter at a huge arena.
He’s no Candle in the Wind
Elton John is one of the biggest acts to play in Asheville. Elvis Presley played at the civic center in 1975, and Bob Dylan has performed there several times, including an appearance a couple of years ago.
Come to Asheville for a serving of Crocodile Rock, and enjoy the show!
