ELTON John was bleeped on the Golden Globes red carpet today when he dropped an F-bomb while speaking about Madonna.
John, who is nominated for Best Original Song for Hello Hello from Gnomeo and Juliet, was asked to assess his competition, which includes Madonna and Mary J Blige, RumorFix reported.
"Mary J. [Blige] might win for The Help - Madonna hasn't got a f*cking chance," the British singer told NBC's Carson Daly.
When Daly responded, "Those are fighting words," John quickly replied, "They're accurate words!"
Madonna is nominated for her song Masterpiece from W.E., which she also directed.
Asked to respond to John's comments, Madonna replied, "Damn him ... May the best man win."
Madonna's outfit also drew criticism from some fashion commentators, and CNN's TV host Piers Morgan, who tweeted, "Oh Madonna, put them away. Please. #NotSoGoldenGlobes."
Elton John: “Madonna Hasn’t A F***ing Chance”
The TV censors were fast with the bleep button Sunday night when Elton John used the F-word on NBC’s Golden Globe Arrivals Show.
When Carson Daly interviewed the singer nominated for his song “Gnomeo and Juliet,” Sir Elton John summed up his competition saying “Mary J [Blige] might win for The Help -- Madonna hasn’t got a f***ing chance.”
When Carson joked, “Those are fighting words,” Elton snapped back “They’re accurate words!”
Ouch!
Just moments ago, Madonna said, ” Damn him … May the best man win.”
