Go Breakin' my Heart eSacrifice.

A química é realmente importante.

Sir Elton John was forced to cancel his concerts over the weekend when he fell ill.

The legendary British star is said to have come down with food poisoning and subsequently couldn't get on stage to fulfil his commitments in Las Vegas, Nevada.

John was supposed to play two shows at Caesars Palace - one on Friday and one on Saturday - but he couldn't recover in time for either, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.

A representative told TMZ that he is "much better now" and will be back in action for his show in Guadalajara, Mexico this week.

John recently revealed that he is seeking counselling with David Furnish on how to help son Zachary cope with the "double stigma" of having famous parents in a same-sex relationship.

The 'Your Song' singer said that the couple are taking measures to help their child, who was born via a surrogate on Christmas Day 2010, to understand and feel "proud" of his unique situation as he grows up.

It was widely reported that Sir Elton John was to attend his friend Whitney Houston's funeral.
And when he cancelled his Friday and Saturday concerts at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, many  fans thought that's where he was.
But the singer has responded to the reports, saying the shows were cut because he was sick with food poisoning, not because he was bidding farewell to the troubled star.

Sir Elton John shocked a teenage musician by calling her out of the blue and asking her to perform at one of his shows.
Tallia Storm, 13, who has a growing fanbase in Scotland and who has also appeared on catwalks at London Fashion Week, described the phone call from the pop legend as one of the most surreal experiences of her life.
She said: "I really didn't know what to say at first, but he was so excited about my music. He was just so nice, warm and totally down to earth. We spoke a few times and then he called my mum that night to explain what he had in mind."
Sir Elton asked Tallia to share the stage with him at his show in Falkirk on June 10, which will be his only Scottish show this year.
The concert will be held at the 9,200 capacity Falkirk Stadium, and Tallia will open the event before Sir Elton's two-hour set.
"I'm working really hard and rehearsing a lot to give it my all. That's the least I can do for one of my musical heroes!" Tallia said.
Sir Elton heard of Tallia through his partner David Furnish, who the young musician met on holiday.

http://noticias.terra.com.br/noticias/0,,OI5624218-EI188,00-Uniao+da+Ilha+leva+a+capital+britanica+para+o+sambodromo.html

Sherlock Holmes e Guerreiros celtas
"Estamos representando a Oceania", explica.

Craziest Elton John facts

Craziest Elton John facts

Elton John's extravagances extended to his pets. In 1993 he spent £20,000 at his Windsor estate building a castle for his two Shetland ponies and two donkeys, complete with drawbridge, battlements and slits for firing arrows from if they ever feel like defending their home.

In January 1991, Elton John was photographed at Heathrow Airport about to go on holiday. The Daily Express noted that he had 42 suitcases with him, each labelled with their contents: "brown footwear", "black footwear", "white shirts". If he saw a Versace shirt he liked he would buy 15 of them - "but not in the same colour". Despite purging nearly all of his possessions in the early 90s he still owned 3,000 pairs of glasses.

Elton John once checked into a hotel under the name Lord Tiddlywink, but one of his oldest friends, Rod Stewart has another nickname for him - Sharon. In turn Elton calls him Phyllis. Despite their millions they enjoy buying crap gifts for each other. For his 40th birthday Rod sent Elton a Zimmer frame.

When Elton John finally gave up drugs in 1990 the clinic in Chicago he was being treated in made him write a farewell letter to cocaine. He wrote: "I sent planes for you, trains, cars, you are my whore, I love you so much but I can never see you again. If I see you in a room I'll leave."

In the late 70s and early 80s, Elton John took so much cocaine, it completely muddled his senses and would often send him on mad spending sprees (he had a tram shipped from Australia for his garden) and power trips. Once when he was staying at a London hotel, he phoned reception demanding they do something about the windy weather because he didn't like it and threatened to sue unless they changed it.

In 1969, Elton John was confused about his sexuality and engaged to marry a woman called Linda Woodrow. He attempted to commit suicide by sticking his head in a gas oven. He was rescued by his songwriter partner Bernie Taupin who noted that not only did Elton have his head on a pillow but also the gas was too low and the kitchen windows were open.

Between 1973 and 1975, Elton John had his own Boeing 720 airplane, which he christened Starship One. It came equipped with its own organ, bathroom, bar and fireplace. He had his 27th birthday party on board but was in such a bad mood he missed the fact that Stevie Wonder had been leading the chorus of Happy Birthday.

For his 50th birthday fancy dress party Elton John wore a Louis XV style powdered wig that was topped with a silver ship spouting smoke from its cannons. The hairpiece was so big that he was delivered to his own party in the back of a removal lorry.

During a court case against his accountants in 2000, it emerged that Elton John had been spending £1.5 million a month on average. According to documents he spent £9.6m on property and £293,000 on flowers between January 1996 and September 1997. When asked to comment on the extravagance he merely said: "I like flowers."

In 1974 Elton John's stage wardrobe included silver boots, leopard skin top hats, a Statue of Liberty costume, ostrich feathers and $5,000 spectacles that spelled his name in lights. The garments were custom made by British designer Annie Reavey who had a running joke with Elton to see how zany they could make him look. Today he's auctioned off most of the outfits for his Aids charity.

Adele Elton John and John Mayer Helped Me Through Recovery

Theater review: 'Billy Elliot' from Florida Theatrical Association

February 15, 2012|By Matthew J. Palm, Orlando Sentinel Theater Critic
Everyone loves the idea of being true to oneself, no matter the naysayers. And everyone loves an underdog.

So it's easy to root for the character of Billy Elliot — a young boy from a rough-and-tumble British mining town caught up in the economic turmoil of the early 1980s when all he wants to do is dance.

68111129.jpg (351×510)

Kylend Hetherington in "Billy Elliot: The Musical." (Kyle Froman)

It's not so easy, though, to root for the musical adaptation of the heartwarming 2000 film of the same name. Lee Hall's book creates a meandering and repetitious show that clocks in at almost three hours long. Elton John's music is by and large forgettable, although many numbers work within the context of the visuals on stage.

It's those visuals that provide the highlights of the production: Billy's exuberant dance in "Electricity," a clever use of shadows in Rick Fisher's lighting design, a touching, dreamlike pas de deux between young Billy and his older self.

The role of Billy is shared by four actors; on opening night, Kylend Hetherington gave the title character an appealing softer edge than sometimes seen but found aggression in his dancing.

In a standout, tear-jerking scene, Billy shares a letter that his mom wrote to him before her death with his chain-smoking, sharp-tongued dance teacher, Mrs. Wilkinson (Leah Hocking).

Both Hocking and Cynthia Darlow, as Billy's addled grandmother, shine in the humorous aspects of their characterizations. But the underlying feeling of being trapped by their circumstances — as opposed to Billy's escape through dance — is muted.

As Billy's brother Tony, Cullen R. Titmas hits more emotional notes, reacting with fury to his younger sibling's dreams while showing that under the rage is jealousy and disappointment over his own bleak future.

Tony's future is bleak because he, like the brothers' dad and virtually every working man in their town, is a coal miner. Margaret Thatcher, then British prime minister, had threatened to close the mines, prompting a union-led strike. You don't have to understand 30-year-oldU.K.politics to appreciate this framework — when the townspeople mock Thatcher, just imagine any politician you oppose and you'll see the humor.

There are, however, definitely some lost-in-translation bits — references to a "fortnight in Majorca" (a popular British vacation spot) or a joke about being born in Leeds don't register in the same way here. And the northern English "Geordie" accents can get in the way of comprehension.

Maybe in this age of layoffs and downsizing, we've grown numb to the plight of a ragtag band of coal miners from another time and place. Luckily, the thrill of dancing and dreaming remains universal.

Adele: "Elton John and John Mayer Helped Me Through Recovery"

adele-13-1304518018-article-1.jpg (244×130)

15th February 2012, 17:18

The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer says she cried a lot after learning her vocal chords needed to be repaired.

Adele has explained the circumstances that led to her to having surgery on her vocal chords last year.

The 'Someone Like You' singer was forced to undergo laser microsurgery towards the end of 2011 to repair damage on her vocal chords, and has revealed she was given advice by several big singers throughout her recovery.

"I've had a sort throat here and there, had a cold and sung through it, but that day it just went while I was onstage in Paris. It was literally like someone had pulled a curtain over it," Adele told US Vogue this month.

Adele explained that after being diagnosed with acute laryngitis in early 2011 she recovered, but in May 2011 suffered a further set-back.

"That was a hemorrhage, a burst blood vessel on my vocal chord," she continued. "That healed, I did a tour, and then it happened again at my best friend's wedding on October 1.

"I knew my voice was in trouble, and obviously I cried a lot. But crying is really bad for your vocal chords too!"

Adele said singers including John Mayer and Elton John reached out to her after hearing about the surgery to help her deal with the situation.

She added: "Lots of artist have had problems with their voices, but you don't know about it. And they are still singing incredibly well in their 50s and 60s."

Adele picked up six awards at the 2012 Grammys on Sunday (12th February) and has since described the event as the "most incredible" night of her life.

Estimated to sell for £50,000-70,000 the car was bought by Sir Elton in 1987. According to his fleet manager, Sir Elton and his staff referred to the E-Type as "OK Elton" due to its number plate OKE 1, which was worn throughout his ownership and is sold with the car.

The car itself is described as "sleek, racy, elegant and sporty" and was actually a successor to the XK Jaguar and has been touted as the best E-Type of all.

Apart from this, a 1961 Morgan Plus 4 Supersports High Line will also be offered in the Bonhams sale, estimated to sell for £55,000 - 65,000. The Line has been owned from new by the Vought Family, renowned for their pioneering work and engineering in the aviation industry and of Vought Corsair fame. In 1968 it was bought by the current owner, Joe Judt, who has been an active member of the Citroën Car Club since the 1950s, served as the Chairman and is now the Club's honorary president
