Peter Andre has been named the celebrity father of the year for the second time in a row at the Premier Inn award in Kensington.

Andre, ex-husband of model Katie Price a.k.a Jordan, has top the list, beating Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish, the first gay parents who were short-listed for the award.

"This means a huge amount to me because being a dad is my most important role. It's a tremendous feeling" the Daily Express quoted the 38-year-old father as saying.

Andre is father to Junior, 6, and Princess, 4, from his marriage to Jordan and stepfather to her son Harvey, 9.

The award was presented to honour a star for "balancing a hectic public life with the demands of parenting".

Sir Elton John will once again host his annual White Tie and Tiara Ball at his home in the UK next week to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Thirty years ago this month, a mysterious new illness that seemed to attack the body’s immune system was first diagnosed in the United States. Buoyed by denial, stigma and lack of understanding, HIV spread across the world infecting 60 million people and taking the lives of 30million.
Through the efforts of dedicated campaigners and health professionals, the epidemic has begun to turn a corner. For the first time ever, the latest UNAIDS Global Report has shown that the spread of HIV has been halted and is beginning to be reversed. New infections have fallen by almost 20% in the last 10 years and between 2003 and 2009 there was a 13-fold increase in treatment coverage.
Coming at a most poignant time in the HIV story, this years’ White Tie and Tiara Ball will provide a opportunity to reflect on the incredible progress made in fighting the epidemic, and also to look to the future – a future free of HIV.
Always promising to be a special evening for guests and playing host to a wealth of celebrities, the White Tie and Tiara Ball is now in its thirteenth amazing year. Hosted by Sir Elton John and David Furnish at their country estate in Old Windsor, England, the ball has raised more than £40m since its inception. This has allowed the Foundation to reach millions of people infected or affected by HIV.
A highlight of the year’s social calendar, the ball always attracts a wealth of celebrities. In previous years, guests have included Diana Ross, Sharon Stone, Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta Jones, Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Sean Connery, Guy Richie, Joss Stone, P. Diddy, Boris Becker, Joan Collins, Joan Rivers, Kevin Spacey, Kate Winslet, Elizabeth Hurley & Hugh Grant, Victoria & David Beckham, Elle Macpherson, Mick Jagger & Jerry Hall, Kylie Minogue, Pierce Brosnan, Anastacia, Spice Girls, Roger Federer, Dawn French & Lenny Henry, Ronan Keating, George Michael, Trudie Styler, Sir Tim Rice, Jasper Conran, Jane Seymour, Sir Bob Geldof, Sophie Dahl, Diana Krall, Lulu, Sir David Frost, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Daldry, Nigella Lawson, Richard E. Grant and the list goes on!

All You Need Is Love, sucesso absoluto no Brasil.
No show, Rogério Martins interpreta aproximadamente 20 músicas, sendo os maiores sucessos do Elton John, como Skyline Pigeon, Nikita, Your Song, Good Yellow Brick Road, Sacrifice e muitos outros hits.

U2 have topped the list of the highest earning musicians over the last 12 months, with Bon Jovi and Elton John coming in second and third respectively.

The list, which is put together by wealth magazine Forbes, compiles and ranks the top 25 highest earning musicians in the world over the last 12 months.

U2, who also topped the list in 2010, earned over $195 million (£121 million). This was largely due to the continued success of their '360' world tour, which has so far grossed over $700 million (£434 million) in its two years on the road.

Bon Jovi were second with earnings of $125 million (£78 million), also principally due to their ongoing world tour. Elton John came in third, having gathered over $100 million (£62 million) in the past year.

Lady Gaga came in fourth with earnings of $90 million (£56 million), while crooner Michael Buble rounded off the Top Five, having pocketed $70 million (£43 million) in the last 12 months.

Paul McCartney, the Black Eyed Peas and Justin Bieber all featured in the Top Ten, with the likes of Usher, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry narrowly missing out.

The top ten highest earning musicians according to Forbes were:

1. U2: $195 million (£121 million)
2. Bon Jovi: $125 million (£78 million)
3. Elton John: $100 million (£62 million)
4. Lady Gaga: $90 million (£56 million)
5. Michael Buble: $70 million (£43 million)
6. Paul McCartney: $67 million (£41 million)
7. The Black Eyed Peas: $61 million (£38 million)
8. The Eagles: $60 million (£37 million)
9. Justin Bieber: $53 million (£33 million)
10. Dave Matthews Band: $51 million (£31 million)

SIR Elton John performed to over 8,000 fans in Douglas last night – marking the singers first ever performance in the Isle of Man.

Crowds of fans gathered to see the superstar perform a catalogue of hits including Crocodile Rock, Your Song and Candle in the Wind.

One woman had travelled from Jersey to the venue in Noble's Park to celebrate her 100th Elton John gig.

After playing for over two hours Elton returned to the stage to sign tickets, concert programmes and even a Manx flag before launching into the encore of Can You Feel the Love Tonight and Circle of Life.

Before the concert Marshall Arts Ltd, the promoters of the concert, played a message on the big screens for fans.

It read: "The lengths to which we have gone to make sure the show went ahead have been well documented in the media over the last month.

"However after many hours of hard work and additional investment we are delighted that Elton John will take to the stage.

"Finally and most importantly we would like to thank you the fans without whom we would not be here."

ELTON John's concert promoters have promised two fans a "once in a lifetime experience" after they won VIP tickets for tonight's performance.

Carol Crane from Ramsey and David Baker from Douglas won VIP platinum tickets in a Manx Telecom competition.

Their prize includes two platinum area seats, a back stage tour, champagne reception in the VIP marquee, canapés and a hot and cold buffet.

The winners will also be treated to entertainment from a magician, harpist and silhouette artist and have been given tickets to the after show party.

It will be the first time Carol has seen Elton John in concert. She said: "I couldn't believe it when Manx Telecom phoned up to say I had won the tickets. It's really exciting."

Ben Martin, of concert promoter Marshall Arts, said: "Sir Elton's concerts are always memorable occasions as you would expect from one of the world's greatest entertainers. But for David and Carol the evening promises to be a once in a lifetime experience as they will be given VIP treatment from the moment they arrive. They can look forward to a night they will never forget."

David Smith, director of Marketing at Manx Telecom, said: "This is a great prize and promises to give David, Carol, and their guests a fantastic evening. But it's just one example of the money can't buy experiences we are offering in our competitions so customers should look out for texts about more exciting opportunities in the coming months."
