John will be accompanied by his band, which consists of guitarist Davey Johnstone, bassist Bob Birch, percussionist John Mahon, drummer Nigel Olsson, keyboardist Kim Bullard and percussionist Ray Cooper. Shows will feature an array of chart-topping hits from his extensive 40-year discography.
In April 2009, John wrapped up a 241-show, five-year residency dubbed "The Red Piano" at the same venue.
John has a busy tour schedule before the Las Vegas engagement debuts. He's curentlly touring North America, and will head overseas for another round of dates in late May.

La Crosse Center Director Art Fahey says the concert was postponed when it became apparent the weather was not going to allow John's plane to arrive safely.
Fahey tells the La Crosse Tribune there was concern about fans traveling to see the show and also about John's flight arriving from the East.
The concert will be rescheduled for sometime in May.
Anyone holding a ticket for Tuesday night's concert can use it for the rescheduled concert or return it for a refund.

After taking a couple years to tour nationally and internationally, Elton John will return to Las Vegas later this year for his second headlining residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
The show, entitled "The Million Dollar Piano," is booked into a three-year block at the same venue that housed his earlier "Red Piano" run. Dates and onsales have been revealed for the first 16 nights of the residency, which opens September 28 and continues with performances on September 30, October 1-2, 6-9, 13-15, 18-19 and 21-23.
Public onsales for the show begin April 25, with a limit of eight tickets per customer. Ticket prices will range from $55 to $250, not including applicable fees and taxes.
The show's main attraction — besides John himself — will be the piano he plays upon. He described it only briefly in a press statement, saying, "I'm going to have a fabulous piano that Yamaha has been working on for four years, and that's the reason why the show is called 'The Million Dollar Piano.'"
The show's set list will span John's four-decade career with his usual backing musicians accompanying him: guitarist Davey Johnstone, bassist Bob Birch, percussionist John Mahon, drummer Nigel Olsson, and keyboardist Kim Bullard.
Noted rock percussionist Ray Cooper will also make a special appearance during the residency, according to the Colosseum's announcement of the residency.
John's first Vegas residency, "The Red Piano," ran from February 2004 through April 2009. Originally booked for 75 performances over a three-year term, John ultimately headlined at the Colosseum for five years and more than 240 performances due to audience demand.
In the time since leaving that residency, John toured on and off through 2009 for the Face 2 Face Tour with Billy Joel. In addition to his own solo shows, he also joined forces with music veteran Leon Russell on the wildly successful and highly praised Union Tour in late 2010.

Da Elton John a Jovanotti, quante stelle
da ammirare sotto il cielo di Piazzola
http://www.L'EVENTO.
Il 28 giugno toccherà all'energia dei Korn e al loro recente Korn III - Remember Who You Are.
